A stick of cigarette can’t harm a person unless it’s put in the mouth and lighted; a matter of figure of speech. Cigarette smoking has been a habitual act to several people in the world because of its effect to relieve stress, from being nauseous and it overcomes their anxieties. Honestly speaking, people are aware of the health effects of consistently smoking nicotine but they tend to neglect the idea of the harm that it can do to the body due to the reason that they’re already addicted to such habit and it is the only way that calms them down in case unexpected scenarios occur.
Cigarette has been the cause of death for more than 400,000 people worldwide; it has a higher mortality rate compared to diseases such as HIV, illegal drug use, motor vehicle accidents and alcohol use. So if you’re to give the comparison between cigarette smoking and smoking cannabis or also known as weed, there are no big difference at all, anything that you’ll smoke will cause bad effects to the body, the carcinogens or chemicals that you inhale from it; it’s just a matter of balance, never use it abusively.
In regards to treatment, Marijuana may not cure but it can prolong one’s life especially those who are diagnosed with lung cancer or epilepsy, it is a sedative drug that is a muscle relaxant and relieves nausea but once it is use beyond the dose it will cause damage to the health such as immune system suppression, brain damage, chronic and acute bronchitis, depression and anxiety, delayed brain development to young people and so on. It’s a bit better to cigarette smoking because it treats some diseases but still causes side effects to someone.
